Veta coming down the slide for the second time of many to come!

Rachael and her family came to visit for this Independence Day weekend.  We went to Ross Park Aquatic Complex yesterday for a day of sunshine, picnicking, and splashing…and we got an abundance of all three!  Veta and Dale got passes to have unlimited rides down the big water slide.  Veta took full advantage of her pass and loved every moment of it, but Dale decided it was lame because the rules require you to sit up for the entire duration of the slide and he wanted to go down on his back to go faster.

Hazel spent most of her time in the kiddy pool with her cousins.  There was a toy in the middle with hoses you could spray people with, wheels to turn that opened up jets of water, and a little water slide.  Gemma also loved the kiddy pool, and happily she didn’t try to drink the water!  In between the times spent in the kiddy pool and on the big slide, everyone floated in the Lazy River.  

It was a lot of fun, and the girls and I are making plans to visit the park several more more times before summer is done.

Dale got demoted to babysitting duty since the slide was not
to his liking.  Luckily, Veta had no problem going without him!
